In Neustadt-Süd are also located: the Museum of Asian art with art from China, Japan and Korea, the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum, the Millowitsch Theater and several small private theatres. The parks „Volksgarten“ and „Innere Grüngürtel“ (including a small lake “Aachener Weiher” and hills) attracts a lot of people specially in summer. Thanks to the central location, this neighbourhood is served by several subway and bus lines.

Other attractions in the old town are the City Hall, numerous museums, the “Zeughaus” complex, Romanic churches and many historical houses. In the old town-north there are also two of the most crowded shopping streets of Germany: "Hohe Straße" (beginning in front of the cathedral on the “Wallrafplatz Square) and "Schildergasse". The district is served by tram, subway and bus lines. Also, Cologne main train station is situated exactly next to Cologne Cathedral.
